Backend Branding
Give your clients’ WordPress backend the look of their website – with a dashboard welcome panel, a help footer with your contact details and a custom login screen.
You build and look after websites for clients? After logging in, they usually see the plain WordPress dashboard – and when something goes wrong, they don’t know whom to ask. Backend Branding changes both: the backend carries the logo and colors of the website, and your contact details are one click away on every page.
On the dashboard, a panel welcomes your clients with logo, heading, text and up to three buttons, for example “Edit pages” or a link to your instructions, next to your contact details. Standard boxes such as “WordPress Events and News” can be hidden. At the bottom of every backend page, a help footer replaces the WordPress thank-you note, and the toolbar gets a Help menu with phone, email and support link – in the backend, on the website and on smartphones.
The login screen (wp-login.php) can be adapted too: background color or image, colors for form, text, links and button, font size and your logo, which links to the website instead of wordpress.org. Below the form, a help box shows your text, links and contact details. All settings are on one page, with a live preview of the login screen. The plugin makes no external requests, sets no cookies and collects no data.
